What we are doing

We are solving Africa’s oxygen gap through a network of world-class, sustainable, exceptionally managed oxygen production and distribution systems. In Nigeria, the Covid-19 pandemic revealed an acute shortage of medical-grade oxygen. Interkel has partnered with Oxygen Hub and Institute for Transformative Technologies to build medical oxygen infrastructure across the 36 States in Nigeria.

Strategic Partnerships.

Oxygen Hub’s Nigeria operations are a joint venture between Interkel Ltd. and the Institute for Transformative Technologies (ITT). Interkel is an ISO- registered Construction and Infrastructure company with operations in Nigeria, Ghana, Gabon, Congo-Brazzaville and DRC. ITT is one of the world’s leading organizations focused on technology-led services for sustainable development of underserved communities. Prior to creating Oxygen Hub, ITT launched the world’s largest rural solar utility in partnership with Tata Power in India, and the world’s most widely deployed natural sanitation solution.

ITT’s advisors and board members include Peter Hancock (former CEO of the insurance giant AIG) and Sam Thenya (founder of Nairobi Women’s Hospital, the largest hospital chain in Sub-Saharan Africa). O2H’s funders include the Skoll Foundation and Elma Philanthropies.
